Mahaworks

The Approach to Sustainable Livelihoods

Mahaworks’ maiden social project started with one single returning migrant worker who is from the Gurung tribe. He is located in the mid-North Himalayan region of Nepal and has now produced a limited batch of pure honey from the pristine natural environment where the local bees species forage freely among the local terrain and plants.

Subsequent projects included multiple beekeepers and locations and today, Mahaworks has provided seed funding for many of them to start beekeeping activities, improve their quality, and has contributed to community development in terms of basic needs and infrastructure.

Mahaworks is now delivering to its customers pure and natural honey harvested from different unique floral species with specific health benefits from the high altitude of Himalaya, while creating a sustainable livelihood for the poor and underprivileged communities.
